Notes for serial item No 3.00 & 4.00 : (i) The work shall be executed as per design mix approved by GE. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Bituminous concrete shall be mixed in drum type hot mix plant, transported from plant to work at site and laid/spread by means of mechanical paver finisher. (v) Filler for bitumen concrete shall be OPC grade @ 2% of total mix. (vi) Contractor shall quote his rate on the basis of binder as mentioned in this item. If there is any minus variation in the actual binder content used as per design mix approved by GE, the rate shall be adjusted as per invoice submitted by contractor per Kg of binder used.
