| 1 | Excavation work by mechanical means (hydraulic excavator)/ manual in all height and depths and in all kind of soil including saturated soils comprising of pick work, jumper work, pick jumper work, blasting work both in soft and hard rocks, chiseling/ wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) and their intermediate classification of soil , setting out true to the required line, grades, width, cutting and trimming of side slopes as shown in the drawing and if water is met with in the excavation due to springs, seepage, rain and other causes it shall be removed by the suitable diversion pumping or bailling out and excavation shall be kept dry wherever so required by the contractor at his own cost as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge and disposal all surplus excavated soil in acquired width or at an approved dumping site including its stacking leveling dressing including all lead and lifts by head load, mechnical transportation or by any other mode of transportation with all cost of labours, machineries and other incidentals to complete the work as per HP PWD specification. Any loss to the public/ private property during the course of execution and disposal of unserviceble meterial shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be compensated by him in all case. | 2 | Excavation work by mechanical means (hydraulic excavator)/ manual in foundation trenches or drains or overall areas in earth work of all kind of soil such as pick work, jumper work, blasting work, jumper blasting work soft and hard blasting and saturated soil, de-watering, including wedging out rocks where blasting is prohibited, chiseling or any other mixed variety of soil, including shoring, strutting or bailing out water upto any depth or any height quantum of water including dewatering removal of slush and stacking the serviceable and unserviceable material clear from the edge of excavation and as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge and returning the stacked soil in 15 cm (Fifteen centimetre) layers, when required into plinths, side of foundation etcetera consolidating each deposited layer by ramming watering and then disposing of all excavated earth as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge, within all leads, lifts and other incidentals as per specifications, approved drawing, design and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.
