| 1 | Providing and Fixing of Wooden Panelling Work at Snow Clearance Control Room Bandipora.
Scope of Work:The work includes supply, installation, and finishing of high-quality wooden-look panelling, preferably using pre-laminated High Density Fiberboard (HDF) or equivalent engineered board, for the interior walls of Snow Clearance Control Room Bandipora. The panelling is intended to enhance the aesthetic appearance and provide a durable interior finish suitable for operational conditions.
Technical Specifications and Description of Work:
Material:Panelling shall be made of pre-laminated High Density Fiberboard (HDF) / MDF or equivalent engineered board with factory-finished decorative laminate surface.
Board thickness shall not be less than 8 mm.
The laminate finish shall be of approved shade and texture (wooden finish).
Height of Panelling:The wooden panelling shall be provided up to 1/3rd of the total wall height from the floor level.
Surface Finish:Preferably factory pre-laminated matte finish, eliminating the need for on-site polishing.
In case of non-laminated boards, surface shall be finished with:
One coat of wood primer, two coats of synthetic enamel / clear varnish / PU polish.
Installation Details:Panels shall be fixed over a framework of wooden battens (properly seasoned) not less than 1 inch thick, securely anchored to the wall using suitable fasteners. Proper alignment and leveling of battens shall be ensured before fixing panels. Panels shall be fixed using nails/screws/adhesives as required. All joints shall be neatly aligned, and gaps (if any) shall be filled with suitable filler and finished smoothly. Panel edges shall be chamfered and finished uniformly for a clean decorative appearance.
All external and internal corners, edges, and junctions shall be provided with matching colour laminated angles, corner beads, or edge trims of the same shade and finish as the panelling, wherever required, to ensure proper protection, durability, and a uniform aesthetic appearance.
Accessories & Consumables:All necessary nails, screws, fasteners, adhesives (wood glue), wood filler, and finishing materials shall be included in the scope.
Labour The work shall be executed by skilled ensuring proper aligment smoothness and durability ofr the istallation.
