The pipes shall be painted in two coats of anticorrosive bituminous paint over one coat of steel primer. Before welding a V-groove is to be made by grinding the edges of pipe by a portable grinder in order to accommodate the welding material to make the joint strong. The welded area shall be chipped properly and flux removed to ensure crack free / leak proof joints on full working pressure. Quality product electrodes of Philips/ ESSAB/ADOR make only shall be used for welding. Specification of mating flange: The flange required for fitting of above reflux valve to 450 mm dia delivery pipe shall be inconformity with the flanges of the valve. The flanges shall not be less than 25mm thick. The job included providing and fitting of suitable size M.S nuts and bolts for fitting of valve. Test certificate of the Manufacturer to be provided.
