| 2 | Dismantling the earth chamber, Excavation and removing unserviceable earthing materials along with earth electrodes from the existing earth pits pertaining to installations/ buildings and providing material and labour for maintenance free earthing using corrosion resistant earth electrode copper cladded, copper coating thickness of 250 microns, 17.20 mm dia, high tensile low carbon COPPER BONDED RODS WITH 99.9% with 25KA current discharge test from CPRI of length 3.0m as per UL 467, with suitable compressive coupler planted at depth not less than 4.6m of bore 100mm below ground level, covered with low resistant superior conductive powdered non corrosive, highly hydrous earth enhancing material all as directed including connecting up to common bus bar grid of size 25 x 3 mm to achieve optimum low earth resistance on inspection/ testing complete all as specified and as directed. | 5 | Each Job |
| 3 | Note for Item No 1 :- (a) The make shall be of manufactures as listed in particular specification here-in-after. (b) The earthing shall comply to IS-3043 and the earth resistance to be obtained shall be less than 1 ohm (c) The electrode shall carry UL marking and a manufacturer's name (d) The quoted rate shall deemed to be include for following:- (i) Survey of earth resistance when required for testing of the earth shall be carried out in presence of department representative. (ii) The Grid point/ testing point shall be of 25 x 3 mm copper bus bar of length 150mm mounted on porcelain insulators and enclosed in suitable enclosure of mild steel 2mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer. (iii) The carbon based earth enhancement compound shall have very minimum resistance value (normally less than 0.12 Ohm) to keep the earth resistance at the lower level. The compound shall be filled with highly conductive and eco-friendly ground enhancing compound as per IEC 62561-7 shall not be less that 75KG per pit. (iv) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of department representative and report shall be submitted. (v) The exothermic joints with copper bus bar of size 25 mm x 3 mm up to test point shall be connected with 32 mm light grade GI protection pipe shall be included up to 7.5 m. (vi) Earthwork such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil. The bore hole shall be not less than 80mm dia and 4.60m deep from ground level. (vii) Earth pit chamber and cover shall be of HDPE with top dia 308mm, bottom dia not less than 308mm and of height not less than 214mm with PVC cap. (viii) Earth termination clamps shall be provided to facilitate connection to equipment's. | ||
| 4 | Material and Labour Tripod Earthing Complete with 3 numbers of 17mm, 250 micron, 3 mtr long copper rod buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 5.0 M deep below normal ground level and copper rod connected to copper strip of size 25 x 3.15 mm by brazing only, earth strip from copper rod and up to and including the earth test point (made of gunmetal Phosphorous bronze of size 75x75x25 mm). The earth pit shall be filled with 27 Kgs of Curec+ and 50 Kgs of Curecon chemicals including removal of surplus excavated soil and deposited at the place where directed, PCC Pit shall be provided with PCC ( 1:3:6 ) type C1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate, and RCC M15 cover slab of 40 mm thick type B1 using 20 mm grade aggregate; reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bars @ 75 mm c/c both ways; including providing MS angle iron frame of size 40 X40X 3 mm etc., testing completed all as directed and specified. Note:- i) Earth conductor from earth plate to equipment up to 7.5 M length shall deemed to be included in the rate quote. Stirp beyond 7.5 M will be measured and paid under the respective item of the schedule. ii) Cost of excavation, returning and filling, earth work required based on the nature of earth pit for satisfactory completion of job deemed to be inclusive in the unit rate. | 10 | Each Job |
