| 1 | Providing Comprehensive EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) for the construction of an additional floor over the existing MSED Building and IT Lab Complex at NIT Calicut using Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) roof and column structure with sandwich PUF panel/lightweight roofing, including demolition and disposal of the existing metal sheet roofing, site preparation, detailed architectural design, cutting pattern design, engineering and structural design/stability assessment of the existing and proposed structure, preparation of drawings, specifications, quantity surveying and BOQ. The scope shall include design, supply, plotting, cutting, fabrication, welding, transportation and erection of structural steel components including MS plate sections, Z/C purlins, anchor bolts and accessories, finished with two coats of epoxy high-build paint of approved grade, and supply and fixing of 50 mm thick sandwich PUF panels/ alternate lightweight roofing complete with all necessary fittings and fixtures, conforming to relevant IS codes and standard specifications vetted by NITC.
The work shall further include all associated civil works such as excavation, design and construction of RCC footings/abutments for structural steel supports, masonry/lightweight wall systems using AAC/EPS blocks, internal gypsum plaster and external cement plaster with painting, along with provision of bathrooms including plumbing works, waterproofing of floors, installation of premium quality sanitary fittings, and laying of premium quality floor and wall tiles with epoxy grouting. The scope also includes providing and fixing doors, windows and ventilators, provision for flexible/temporary internal partitions as required, relocation/integration of existing terrace utilities if required, and SITC of complete electrical, lighting, MEP, networking and allied services for the functional operation of the facility.
The roofing system shall be designed and executed with proper airtight and watertight joints to ensure leak-proof performance, including provision of rainwater drainage arrangements. The rate shall include all materials, labour, fabrication, erection, lifting to all heights, scaffolding, tools and plants, fixing arrangements, accessories and all operations necessary for completion of the work, strictly as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
All materials, makes and brands used shall be of premium category and subject to approval by NITC, complying with the provisions of the NIEOI. The internal finishing and facilities provided shall meet standards comparable to modern office spaces.
Rate should be quoted so as to fulfil all the activities mentioned as scope in this NIEOI document following the instructions of the Engineer-in-charge at NITC.
Quoted rate should be inclusive of GST.
