| 1 | Repairing, refurbishment and reinstallation of existing sluice valves from partially completed irrigation pipeline including dismantling and careful removal of valve from pipeline, loading, unloading and shifting to site/workshop, complete dismantling of valve components such as body, bonnet, spindle, gate/wedge, gland and stuffing box, thorough cleaning and removal of rust, scales and old paint by mechanical means and sand/shot blasting, inspection and carrying out necessary repairs such as replacement of worn/damaged parts including nuts, bolts, washers, gland packing, rubber seals, bushes, minor machining/grinding/lapping of seating surfaces, thread correction, straightening of spindle, applying approved grease, oil and lubricants, reassembling the valve with proper alignment, providing and applying one coat of primer and two coats of approved epoxy/bituminous paint, refixing/reinstallation of sluice valve in position in pipeline with new rubber gaskets, nuts, bolts and leak-proof jointing, including alignment, tightening, testing for leakage, smooth operation, complete commissioning, including all incidental works such as dewatering, excavation and refilling if required, complete with all labour, materials, tools and plants, transportation, all leads and lifts, taxes, etc. as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and as per specifications.
