| 1 | NOTES (READ CAREFULLY BEFORE QUOTING RATE):- (a) Work will be executed in multi storey buildings. (b) Rates quoted shall include for necessary services for ease of work in multistorey bldg like mechanical tools, mechanical suspended platform & Scaffolding for demolition and safety net if required and as directed by Engr-in Charge. (c) During the execution of work, in case of any damages such as to Gas pipe line or water supply pipe, cable etc., the contractor will have to get it repaired/replaced at his own cost and nothing will be paid extra on this account and all these items will be removed/repaired by contractor at his own cost. (d) All the demolished bldg material will be removed outside MOD land by the contractor at his own expenses. The rate of removal is deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. (e) The contractor shall provide all safety equipments to labour employed as per IS standards. | ||

| 3 | Method of Application. Methodology:- (a) The surface must be sound, absorbent, clean, free of dust, oil, paint, curing agents, loose cement or lime plaster & concrete, debris or any separation layer. (b) The plaster must be knocked off at least 50 cm beyond the visibly penetrated area. (c) Damaged mortar joints are to be scraped out to a depth of approximately 2-3 cm. All sharp edges/Joints need to be levelled. Loose concrete shall be removed. (d) Drill boreholes at ground level horizontally. The bore holes are drilled horizontally into the masonry. (e) The holes should be drilled until a depth of approx 5 cm (for a 6mm thick wall) before the end of the wall is reached. The boreholes should have a diameter of 12mm upto a maximum of 15mm and should be spaced approx 100 to 120mm apart and the vertical offset is 6cm max. (f) Before inserting Rising bar super strong or equivalent the boreholes must be cleaned from boring dust by using air pressure. It is not necessary to pre-wet the boreholes. (g) For applying the rising bar super strong or equivalent the dosing system inserted as far as possible into the boreholes. While dosing the product uniformly, the injection nozzle is pulled out leading to a completely filled boreholes. (h) Treatment of highly absorbent masonry might require repeated filling of the boreholes, depending upon extent of damage, rising Bar super strong or equivalent can be re-injected in the same hole after 24 hours. Depending on absorbency, application or masonry thickness 0.1 to 0.15 litre/m with 10cm wall thickness. | ||
