| 1 | NOTE FOR ALL PAINITNG AND WATER PROOFING ITEMS :- The following precautionary measures shall be ensured by the contractor before and during execution of the work : (i) All the painting works shall be got executed through original material manufacturing company or their authorised applicators as approved by GE and contractor should submit MOU with the manufacturing company and their authorised applicator alongwith performence guarentee..Entire work shall be executed with the approved firm. All the material of smart periodical is to be precured only from approved firm and as mentioned against each item and application of materials to wall / ceiling surfaces to be done through smart automatic machines only and as mentioned against item No 2 to 7. (ii) Contractor shall deposit entire quantity of materials (proprietory materials) in sealed containers required for painting works covered under subject contract in the custody of Engineer-In-Charge/ Office in charge of unit. (iii) The materials as required shall be issued to contractor by JE/ Engineer-In-Charge on daily basis and the empty containers/ bags shall be deposited in the store of Engineer -In-Charge by the contractor, for verification as per standard consumption/ coverage prescribed by the manufacturers. (iv) After completion of painting work contractor shall remove and clean all the droplets/stain of paint left on the floor, glasses and joinery. (v) Recovary @ cost of material shall be done from contractor if any material found lying on site after completion of work as per manufacturer's instruction and quality satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge. (vi) The work shall be executed upto 10 mtr height and cost of suitable scaffolding shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates by the tenderer. (vii) Smart periodical work to be executed in sequential stages and all the stages to be got approved from GE / Engineer-In-Charge. Stage passing register duly signed to be kept in record. (viii ) The work will be carried out in following steps as appended below :- | ||
| 2 | M&L for complete removal of old existing treatment of walls (External/internal) finishes using mechanical dry wall sander machine (having mechanical vacuum mechanism) having RPM not less than 1500, sanding pad of 320 Grit or above to completely remove old existing treatment for wall and ceiling surface and ready to take new surface finishes complete as specified and as directed. | 3500.00 | Sqm |
| 3 | M&L for applying waterproof cement based putty @ 0.5 Kg (undiluted) per sq mtr. of average thickness 1.5mm in two coats on prepared wall (External/internal) surfaces as per item No 2 above in following steps:- Step-1) Filling cracks in wall using crack seal compound Asian smart care crack seal or equivalent. Step 2) Mix the putty powder @ 0.5 kg/sqm by adding 35 to 40% water by volume or as per approved manufacturer's instructions and mix it with electric putty mixer with the mixing capacity of min 2.5 kg putty per minute upto 5 to 10 minutes. Step 3) Apply the first coat of the prepared mix with the help of fully automatic airless spray machine TruCare Graco Ultramax II 490 PC Pro or equivalent of putty application having flow speed of max 2.04 ltrs per minutes with a maximum pressure 3300 PSI with bottom to top configuration. Step 4) Allow 6-8 hrs to dry putty surface. Step-5) Apply the second coat of the prepared mix with the help of fully automatic airless spray machine TruCare Graco Ultramax II 490 PC Pro or equivalent of putty application having flow speed of max 2.04 ltrs per minutes with a maximum pressure 3300 PSI with horizontal configuration. Step-6) Allow 6-8 hrs to dry putty surface then prepare the surface by electronic wall sander machine to apply subsequent coats of primer.
