(a) Cleaning, washing of surface and removing all existing bitumen coatings/ APP membrane completely with intense wire brushing or high speed water jet. Surface should be free from any loose paint, dust or grease. (b) After proper surface preparation, apply one coat of primer for PU coating as per manufacturers specification. (c) Apply 1st coat of ShaliUrithane BTD (white)@ 650 gm/m (minimum) or equivalent by brush / roller while prime surface is tacky, spread waterproofing reinforced glass fiber mesh of 45 GSM with overlaps of 50mm in both directions when the surface is still tacky. Allow 1st coat to dry. (d) Apply 2nd and 3rd coat of ShaliUrethane BTD (White) @ 650 gm/m (minimum) or equivalent by brush / roller. Note : (i) The minimum dry film thickness (DFT) of roof treatment shall be 1.5mm. If any shortfall in thickness of above treatment, the same shall be achieved by additional coat. (ii) The execution of the work of water proofing treatment shall be carried out by authorised applicator of manufacturer approved by GE.
