After fabrication, the external surface of the pipe shall be cleaned thoroughly by wire brushing/emery, and one coat of red oxide anti-corrosive primer followed by two coats of synthetic enamel / epoxy protective paint of approved shade shall be applied to the exposed surfaces. The laying of pipeline will be done as per site condition /direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
The pipeline shall be flushed and cleaned, and then hydrostatically tested for leakage and strength at a pressure not less than 1.5 times the working pressure for the required duration. Any leakage or defects observed during testing shall be rectified by the contractor at no extra cost. The job also includes dismantling walls or partitions to route overground piping inside the building and connecting with already existing sprinkler and hydrant pipeline inside the building and subsequent reinstatement of masonry, plaster, finishes, and backfilling. Work includes proper curing, painting, making good affected floors/walls, and provision of temporary supports during installation, ensuring neat restoration.

| 3 | Providing and fixing 150 mm diameter Cast Iron Butterfly Valve of PN 16 rating, complete with companion flanges, gaskets, nuts and bolts. The valve body shall be made of Cast Iron with fusion-bonded epoxy coating, and the disc shall be of stainless steel SS304 for corrosion resistance. The spindle/shaft shall be stainless steel SS304 with EPDM/NBR resilient seat ensuring zero leakage under rated pressure. The valve shall be of wafer-type/double-flanged type with bi-directional flow capability, low operating torque and lever/gear-operated mechanism as required. The scope includes cutting and preparing the pipe ends, cleaning, aligning and positioning the valve centrally between the flanges, inserting rubber insertion gaskets, and tightening bolts and nuts in a cross-pattern to ensure uniform pressure and leak-proof joints. All installation activities, including pipe alignment checking, ensuring unobstructed disc movement, proper support of pipeline to avoid stresses on the valve body, and operating the valve through its full open close range, shall be carried out as per standard practice. The installed valve shall undergo hydrostatic pressure testing of the body and seat, leakage inspection, and functional operation testing to confirm smooth and satisfactory performance. The job shall include supply of valve, flanges, gasket, labour, tools and tackles, cutting/grinding equipment, transportation, testing and commissioning, and all incidental works required to complete the installation in all respects.
