| 1 | Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Solar Water Heating System (SWH) of 500 Litres Per Day (LPD) capacity suitable to deliver hot water at 60 C to 70 C under extreme climatic conditions of Leh (high altitude, sub-zero temperature region), complete in all respects. (i) The system shall comprise of the following components : (a) High efficiency Solar Evacuated Tube Collector (ETC) suitable for plant capacity conforming to relevant BIS / MNRE standards. (b) Insulated hot water storage tank of 500 LPD capacity of food grade made out of SS 316 inner tank of minimum thickness 3.0 mm with PUF insulated (minimum thickness 50 mm) and aluminum pre coated sheet weather proof outer cladding. (c) Freeze protection system suitable for sub-zero temperatures of Leh (heat exchanger/antifreeze based system). (d) Heavy duty hot dip galvanized MS supporting structure designed for high wind velocity and snow load conditions, complete with foundation bolts and anti-corrosive treatment. (e) Insulated piping with minimum 25 mm UV resistant insulation for exposed areas. (f) Necessary accessories including valves, NRV, air vent, pressure release valve, drain valve, temperature gauge and all safety fittings. (g) Electrical backup for heating arrangement with thermostat and control panel including complete wiring and earthing (h) All Civil works including PCC foundation for structure (j) Complete inter connection with existing cold water supply and hot water distribution system. | 2 | (ii) Performance Requirements : (a) The system shall deliver 500 LPD hot water at temperature between 60 C to 70 C under normal solar conditions. (b) The installation shall ensure leak-proof operation and minimum heat loss. (iii) Testing & Commissioning : (a) Hydraulic pressure test of tank and piping. (b) Functional test of complete system. (c) Performance test after commissioning in presence of Engineer-in-Charge and terst report has to be submitted by contractor for record. (d) Submission of manufacturer s test certificates and warranty documents for record. Cont. to 1.02 | ||
| 3 | (iv) Guarantee & Warranty : (a) The entire system shall be guaranteed for minimum 05 (five) years from the date of handing over against manufacturing defects, leakage, structural failure, and poor performance. (b) Solar collectors shall carry minimum 05 years performance warranty. (c) Storage tank shall carry minimum 05 years warranty against leakage and corrosion. (d) Supporting structure shall be guaranteed against corrosion and structural failure for minimum 05 years. (e) During the guarantee period, any defect arising shall be rectified/replaced by the contractor at his own cost within 7 days of notice either liable to compensnate @ 1000/- per day . | 4 | Notes : 1. Installation and commissioning of total work including foundation and structural work shall be done by original manufacturer (OEM) or authorised representative of OEM only. 2. Necessary foundation and structural work shall be done as per OEM 3. Payment shall be made only after successful testing, commissioning and handing over in functional conditions. 4. Security Deposit shall be released only after satisfactory completion of guarantee period and rectification of all defects. 5. The item includes all labour, material, T & P, transportation to site, loading/unloading, erection, testing, commissioning, demonstration to user and handing over complete system in operational condition. 6. The rate quoted by contractor shall deemed to be for the complete item of work in all respects as specified above. Nothing extra whatsoever shall be paid on any account. 7.
