1LIVING BLOCK Design Supply and Erection Prefabricated Fast Erectable Modular Shelter for Living of size 7.44 Mtr X 5.77 MtrX 3.00mtr as per arch line drawing. The structural design all including of footing and foundation needs to be prepared and also to be vetted from NIT or IIT by the contractor . Certificate from IIT/NIT needs to be in conjunction with codal provns and submitted by the contractor before execution of the work. Structure frame system design with structural steel conforming to IS Code and design as per IS Codal Provns with std worst combination of load as per IS Code prevailing in Leh. The structural frame system should support the structure. The vetted drawing should provide details of Foundation details, Column details, Truss details, Structural Joints all fixing details electrical layout,plumbing layout & sewage layout required for execution. Design criteria: The structural shall be designed in accordance with relevant IS Provns/NBC code/ extant government guidelines suitable for Leh however, some of design criteria are listed as under: (a) Seismic Co-efficient: As per Seismic Zone IV. (b) Snow load : For min 01 mtr of snow and as per IS codal provn for Leh / Demchok. (c) Wind load :Equivalent to wind speed of min 65 mtrs/sec or as per relevant IS Provn. (d) Roof slope: as per design requirement. (e) External temperature :(-) 40 degree to (+) 35 degree. (f) Water absorption/Penetration: Nil & adequate sealing material be provided through include Silicon Sealing Gun. (g) Fire resistant (Walls and ceiling): Fire resistant & should not emit toxic fumes. (h) Ease of construction :Shelter should be modular in design. (i) Design load: As per IS 875/Relevant IS provn. (j) Design of fdn as per the structure vetted by the auth as mentioned above. (k) The design of the structure shall be carried out on 12 Ton/m of soil bearing capacity (SBC). However, the final design of the structure shall be based on the soil investigation carried out by the contractor at his own cost. On carrying out the soil investigation report is to be submitted to the Garrison Engineer for approval. Thereafter, the structural vetting is to be carried out fro NIT/IIT by the contractor. (l) The rate includes transportation upto 400 km from Leh toward Leh -Demchok axis 5.00Each Job
2Design Data. (a) Length : 7.44 M. (Outer to outer) (b) Width : 5.77 M. (Outer to outer) (c) Shelter Clear Height upto false ceiling :2.70 Mtr up to false ceiling. Foundation: shall be designed by the tenderer and quoted rate is deemed to include the same (Design Cost). All the items i.e. Exavation for foundation, removal/refilling of soil, Reinforcement/RCC work, formwork, structural steel work, bolts, base plate, connections, and erection are deemed to be included in the quoted rate for this item. Quoted rate is also deemed to include necessary vetting of Structure duly signed and stamped from any IIT/NIT of the structural drawing prepared by the approved structural design consultant of tenderer. Wall: (a) The main and partition PUF insulated panels with inner white colour coated GI metal skin. The thickness of the PUF panel shall be 80 mm. The Panels will be made using 0.50 mm thick color coated steel sheets on both side with 80 mm thick layer of rigid HCFC, CFC, HFC free modified Polyisocyanurate foam. The PUF insulation material shall be fire-retardant and self-extinguishing; conforming to international standards. There shall be no gap between wall and roof panels. All joints shall be properly sealed and finished with suitable flashing to ensure complete sealing.(b) All materials used for manufacturing the shelter shall be new and shall comply with the relevant Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). (i) Manufacturing Process: The PUF sandwich panels shall be manufactured by a high pressure injection Process (ii) GI Skin Specification: The outer and inner skins of the panels shall be colour-coated GI sheets of 0.5 mm TCT (Total Coated Thickness). A 50-micron PVC guard film shall be provided on the finished surface only, to protect against scratches during handling. Galvanization shall conform to GR-120 as per IS-277. (iii) PUF Insulated Core Properties: Density: 40 kg/m ( 2 kg/m ) Compressive Strength (at 10% deformation): 1.15 kg/cm Tensile Strength: 4.0 kg/cm Bending Strength: 4.2 kg/cm Adhesion Strength: 3.0 kg/cm
3(iv).Dimensional Stability (48 hours): At 25 C: 0.1% At +38 C and 90% RH: 0.1% At +100 C: 0.4% Closed Cell Content: 90 95% Operating Temperature Range: 40 C to +35 C Thermal Conductivity at 10 C: 0.018 kcal/m/hr/ C (v). Design value: 0.020 kcal/m/hr/ C or 0.23 W/m K (vi) Fire Resistance: * Horizontal extent of burn less than 100 mm as per BS 4735 * Self-extinguishing as per ASTM D1692 * Not easily ignitable as per BS 476 Part 5 (Class I) and BS 476 Part 7 (vii). Water Absorption: 0.20% by volume at 100% relative humidity (c).All sandwich panels shall be provided with suitable tongue and groove, which shall be fixed in place during the on-site process itself. The fixing of the tongue and groove shall be such that 2.7 m long 1.2 m wide panels can be placed properly. The tongue and groove in the panels for operation shall be provided with PVC caps for sealing after installation. (d) All panels shall be manufactured in single pieces as per the approved panel layout drawing, using the above-mentioned materials and manufacturing process. (e) Panel Joining Arrangements: (i) The insulated panels shall be joined with each other using tongue and groove arrangements to ensure complete sealing. The panels shall be fitted on the bottom and top tracks GI sheets, anchored to the concrete plinth. False ceiling panel (False ceiling panel specification shall be the same as the wall panel): The false ceiling will be made up of 60mm thick. All materials required for the manufacture of shelter shall be new and shall comply with relevant Bureau of Indian Standard specification. False ceiling will be supported with the help of inverted CRCA Tee Section 50 x 50 x 6 mm thick (4.40 Kg/Rm) and L- section of 50 x 50 x 5mm thick (3.80 Kg/Rm) fixed appropriately to the Truss.Floor Panels: The hybrid core insulated fireproof floor panels of the shelter shall be of 60 mm thick.
4The panels will be made using 0.60 PPGI skin (RAL 9002 /9003) at the bottom and 40 mm CFC Free, Nominal Bulk density 40 2 Kg/m panel Insulation in between along with 18 mm thick BWR grade plywood on top. The Floor panels will be joined using cam locks & tongue and groove arrangement produced on discontinuous panel production line. These floor panels shall be fixed on MS grid frame as per design vetted by NIT/IIT. If any space is between the MS grid frame and natural ground, it shall be filled with earth and compacted properly. The floor top will be provided with 2 mm thick aluminum chequered profile fixed with suitable counter sunk screws with 2mm thick PVC matt over it. Toilet portion (Floor & Skirting): (a) Non skid ceramic joint free coloured tiles of size 300x300mm of 7-8 mm thick over 15 mm thick screed bed of cement mortar 1:4 over sub base of 75mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 over 100mm thick hard core to a true surface over rammed earth filling under floor are deemed to be including in the quote rate for this item.(b) Non-skid ceramic joint free coloured tiles 7 to 8 mm thick (Square/Rectangular) in wall matching with floor and high wire mesh to be screwed to wall panels including 10mm thk plaster in CM 1:4 in skirting 100mm high etc. set and joint free in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match completely to be including in the quote rate for this item. Flashing. Suitable flashing with 0.6mm thick pre-coated sheet of matching color with panels will be provided at all joints between roof and wall corners. Roof: 0.60 mm thick PPGI sheet approved color fixed with self-tapping screws over steel purlins. Steel sheets shall be laid with corrugations over lap at sides and 15 cm end overlap or as per manufacture's instruction. Pre painted (matching with roof tint) wind tie of size 40 X 5mm flat iron shall be provided at lower and upper horizontal end of each pitch for protection against wind. The Profile of PPGI sheet on roof will project 400mm outside the ends of front and rear side and 300mm at the both gable ends. In addition to self-tapping screws shall also be fixed for roof sheeting. The sheets shall be as per IS. The sheets shall be as per IS. Color of roofing sheet shall be of to match the surrounding camouflage as approved by GE. Chajjas: chajjas with a projection of 1000mm width to be provided over each windows and door with frame work with 1.2mm thick MS sheet. Ridge Cover 0.60 mm thick pre-coated corrugated/plain sheet of approved color matching with the roof sheet of size & design, 3.0 m long and 900 mm wide will be provided. PPGI sheet is to be fixed on top junction of the roof using suitable self-tapping screws over steel purlins. Installing foam closers between Ridge cover and Roof sheet to avoid the entry of snow inside the shelter. No gap should be there in the roof design for allowing the entrance of snow inside the roof from ridge and roof sheet.
5Main Doors. 04 Nos of door shall be provided for each shelters having size as shown in drg made of MS frame with PU paint coating. The door shall be of GI metal skin reinforced with hybrid core insulated panel 50mm thick of same color (specification mentioned above for the walls panel) jacketed within a frame of Mild Steel Channel section of size 60 x 50 x 3 mm. The doors shutter shall be hanged with 04 pieces heavy duty hinges. 2 Nos of aluminum AL drop of 250 mm and Aluminum tower bolts of 200 mm size from inside and 2 Nos D type handles shall be provided in each shutter. 2 Nos Canopy Rain/sun shed of 0.60 mm thick PPGI sheet of size 1000 mm x 450 mm complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Internal Doors:- 02 Nosof factory made solid panel PVC door shutter 30 mm thick (style) consisting of frame made out of MS tubes. M.S frame shall be covered with heat moulded plain coloured PVC channel having a PVC sheet strip of 20 mm width stuck inside with solvent cement for stiles and plain colour PVC sheet for top rail, lock rail and bottom rail on either side & as gap insert for top rail & bottom rail; Paneling of plain colour PVC sheet to be fitted in the M.S frame welded/sealed to the stiles & rails with suitable PVC sheet beading and jointed & fixing in the frame at site as per specification & drawing complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make: sintex/Polywell/Rotex/Polycon. Windows:- 04 Nos-Powder coated aluminum three track sliding window of size 1000 x 1000 mm with glass and stainless steel fly proof mesh with aluminum grill shall be provided (02 no s of glass shutter, 01 Nos wire mesh shutter). Outer frame shall be made of 1.6mm thick weight not less than 0.710 kg/m and shutter frame shall be made of size 44 x 44 x 1.6mm thick, weight not less than 0.670 kg/m and clip shall be made of size 21 x 15.4 x 1.22mm, weight not less than 0.18 kg/m. Mullion shall be made of size 59 x 38 x 1.6mm thick, weight not less than 0.85 Kg/M. Grill frame shall be made of 42.4 x 10 x 12mm thick, weight not less than 0.325 Kg/m and including 5mm thick glass necessary joining cleats, glazing chips, rubber packing. Aluminum grill having 10mm dia weight not less than 0.54 Kg/Sqm along to with aluminum fly proof mesh having 1mm aperture of wire mesh 24 gauges shall be fixed aluminum shutter. All the material used for aluminum frame work shall conform to IS 733-1989, IS 737, 1986 or IS 1285-2002 (as amended upto date). 6 mm thick acrylic sheet to be provided at a sill level of 1.10 mtr from finished floor level with all the accesories required for fitting of Acrylic sheet at external wall of front corridor (VERANDAH) as per details mentioned in drawing. 80 mm thick PUFF panel shall be provided below sill level and above lintel level. Channel flashing shall be provided at all the places to cover exposed layers of PUFF where PUFF Panel and acylic sheet will be joining.
