Design and Construction of 04 Nos Underground RCC Bunker of internal size 4.50 m 5.50 m and clear depth 3.00 m (clear depth below ground level 2.50 m) as per Arch line drawing att. The structural design of all RCC work including of footing , wall , roof, staircase, etc need to be prepared and also to be vetted from NIT or IIT by the contractor. Certificate from IIT/NIT needs to be conjuction with codal provns and submitted by the contractor. The work shall also include preparation and submission of detailed structural and architectural drawings, design calculations, after vetting from NIT or IIT and obtaining approval from the CWE prior to execution.
Design Criteria :- The Structural shall be designed in accordance with relevant IS Provns/ NBC code/ extant guidelines suitable for location undermentioned in note. However some design criteria are listed as under :-
(a) Sesmic Co-efficient : As per Sesmic Zone IV.
(b) Snow load : As per IS codal Provn for Thoise
(c) Wind Load : Equivalent to wind speed of min 55 mtr/sec or as per relevent IS Provn.
(d) External temperature : (-) 20 degree to (+) 25 degree
(e) Full earth pressure at 2.80 m depth.
(f) Design load : As per IS 875/Relevent IS Provn.
(g) SBC test of soil at several depth as required for construction of Underground Bunker must be obtained by contractor from Govt approved Lab/agency and shall be approved by CWE in case the SBC is less than 15Ton/Sqm at his own cost before structural design of Bunker from NIT or IIT.
(h) Heavy live load: 15 kN/m
(j) Impact / shock / blast equivalent load: 25 30 kN/m
(k) Dynamic loading & vibration effects
(l) Hydrostatic pressure (if groundwater present)
(m) Concrete Grade: RCC Work of M30 Design mix should be considered
(n) Reinforcement Steel: Fe550D

| 2 | Foundation/ Wall/ Staircase/ Beam/ Roof : All RCC work shall be designed by the tenderer and quoted rate is deemed to include the same (Design cost). All the items i.e. excavation in over areas for Foundation/ Wall/ Staircase/ Beam/ Roof in all types of soil, refilling / removing of soil after plastering and painting of wall and covered with polythene film from outside , PCC 1:4:8 lean concrete, Reinforcement (TMT), RCC work (M 30 design mix), form work , curing work , dressing complete as per approved design and specifications are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer. Quoted rate is also deemed to include necessary vetting of structure duly signed and stamped from any IIT/NIT of the structural drawing prepared by the approved structural design consultant of tenderer.The bunker shall be designed as a very strong protective structure, capable of resisting. The high strength deformed steel bars shall be used and produced by Thermo Mechanically Treatment process (TMT steel bars) and shall be of grade Fe500D or Fe550D meeting all other requirements of IS-1786 (amended up to date)

Foundation / footing slab : 300 mm
Side walls: 200 mm

(a) Door/Ventilator :- M&L for Providing, fabricating and fixing MS steel door of overall size 2.10 m (height) 1.00m (width), consisting of a frame made out of MS angle 50 mm 50 mm 6 mm thickness,and 02 nos MS Steel Ventilator of overall size 0.40m x 1.20 m with same size angle including cutting, bending (if required), welding, grinding and finishing complete and Framed work as in doors & Ventilator of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails, braces, etc., complete, drilled for fixing of MS sheet 10 mm thick or other covering as shown in drawing. Doors/Ventilator, etc. to be prepared for hanging or sliding with and including either hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings(handles , tower bolts of suitable size), inclusion of MS sheet or other covering, running rails and guides) and hanging; also fastening and fixing confirming to FE-410-W(Gde E-250) quality complete all as specified and as directed are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer. The door shall be complete with:
MS heavy duty hinges (minimum 3 Nos.)
MS sliding bolt -2 Nos
MS handle-2 Nos

The entire door (frame and shutter) shall be cleaned and treated with: Door/ Ventlator :- (01 nos door and 02 Ventilator as per drawing)

(b) Ventilator :- The above ventilator should also be provide in addition with Aluminium framed ventilator fixed alongwith above ventilator, and it includes supply and fix of power coated aluminum three track sliding ventilator of size as per arch line drg with glass ad stainless steel fly proof mesh with aluminum grill shall be provided (02 No's of glass shutter, 01 Nos wire mesh shutter). Outer frame shall be made of 1.6mm thick weight not less than 0.710 kg/m and shutter frame shall be made of size 44 x 44 x 1.6mm thick weight not less than 0.670 kg/m and clip shall be made of size 21 x 15.4 x 1.22mm weight not less 0.18 kg/m. Grill frame shall be made of 42.4 x 10 x 12mm thick weight not less than 0.325 kg/m and including 5mm thick glass necessary joining cleats, glazing chips, rubber packing, Aluminum grill having 10mm dia weight not less than 0.54 Kg/Sqm along to with aluminum fly proof mesh shall be fixed aluminum shutter. All the material used for aluminum frame work, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer. | | |
| 4 | Block masonry work : M&L for Pre-cast cement concrete block masonry with solid blocks, Type C1 1:3:6 (using 20 mm graded aggregate) exc. 10 cm in width and setting in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed for staircase side wall above ground level are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer. Plastering work :
(a) External Rendering : (i) Rendering 15 mm thick in CM 1:4 using on fair faces of brick work /block masonry work of wall and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement all as specified and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer.
(ii) Rendering 5 mm thick in CM 1:4 using on fair faces of RCC/ concrete surfaces of wall and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement all as specified and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer.
NOTE: WPC should be added as per manufacturing instruction or 3% of weight of cement for external plastering work.
(b) Internal Rendering : (i) Rendering 15 mm thick in CM 1:6 using on other than fair faces of brick work or block masonry work of wall and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement all as specified and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer.
(ii) Rendering 5 mm thick in CM 1:4 using on fair faces of RCC/ concrete surfaces of wall and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement all as specified and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer.
(c) Ceiling Rendering : Rendering 5 mm thick on fair faces of roof slab/staircase, soffits of slab/staircase surfaces in CM 1:4, finished even and smooth without using extra coment complete all as specified and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer.Finishing work :
(a) Steel Surfaces : M & L for Synthetic enamel paint of two coats on new steel surface any description over 10cm width or girth over a coat of red oxide primer including preparation of surfaces in camuoflage pattern complete all as specified and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer.
(b) Internal Plastered Surfaces (Wall/Ceiling Surfaces) : M&L for preparation of new plastered surfaces of wall/Ceiling surface and applying three coats of white wash with pigment if required and directed by Engr-in-charge and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer. | | |
| 5 | (c) External Plastered Surfaces (Wall) : M&L for preparation of new plastered concrete surface of wall over 10 cm girth or width and applying two coat of black bituminous paint over one coat of priming paint complete all as specified and directed and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer. Polythene Film : M&L for fixing of Polythin film black/white , 300 micron laid around the bunker footing (below footing and sides) and around the RCC wall upto ground level before the earth refilling complete all as specified and as directed are deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the tenderer. The joints of polythene film must be properly jointed so that water seepage does not affect the RCC work.. Notes :
(a) Anything missed out above but reqd as per arch line plan for construction of functional structures is deemed to be included in quoted rate and no extra claim shall be admissible.
(b) Yard stick of bldgs as above to be provided by contractor before payment.
