| 1 | M&L for rectification of leakages to water supply distribution lines 15 mm to 25 mm dia GI tubing by carrying out necessary earth work excavation in any type of soil, returning, filling, removing and dewatering as required, tightening of loose joints including replacement of GI fittings such as unions, sockets, nipples, elbows etc. as required, threading wherever necessary, complete all as specified and as directed. Notes: (i) The quoted rate shall be inclusive of earth work excavation in any type of soil. (ii) The quoted rate shall be inclusive of necessary GI fittings, flanges, sockets, clamps etc. as required and nothing extra shall be paid to the contractor on this account. (iii) GI pipe of length exceeding 1.00 metre used for rectification of complaints shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items. (iv) The complaint shall be attended within 4 hours from the time of reporting/issue of complaint. | 4 | M&L for attending routine complaints of external water supply like 'No water', including rectification of minor defects by taking down of existing GI tubing upto 25 mm dia, cutting/ threading and making joints where necessary, cleaning for blockage, opening of float valve of service tanks cleaning and repairing and refixing the same, replacement of jumper valve / packing sheet of gate valves or replace the unsv gate or Globe valves and replacement of UNSV GI fittings where required complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (i) The complaints for above works shall be registered by the contractor at Water Supply Complaint Cell of AGE E/M No.1, Filtration Plant, and tradesmen shall be detailed from there. (ii) Stationery required for complaint registration and execution such as complaint books, job cards, etc., shall be arranged by the contractor. (iii) T&P including ladders (wooden/steel/aluminium of suitable size) required for attending the complaints shall be arranged by the contractor. (iv) All complaints shall be attended and completed within 4 hours from registration, including Sundays and Holidays. (v) The complaint shall be attended within 4 hours from the time of reporting/issue of complaint. In case of failure to rectify the lcomplain within the stipulated period, a penalty of Rs. 1000.00 per day per complaint shall be made from the RAR/ Final Bill/ or the next due payment. (vi) The cost of excavation and earthwork, wherever required for execution of the work, shall be deemed included in the quoted rates. (vii) The rates shall be inclusive of supply and replacement of GI fittings, flanges, socketed clamps, and other minor consumables required for completion of the job. No extra payment shall be admissible on this account.
