| 1 | Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil by manual/mechanical means including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock, soft rock and hard rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side,water pollution, etcetra and to protect stability of hill side track shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). all earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried,out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge,in conformit with the requirement of MORD technical specification 2014 for Rural Road. clause 300, 1602,1603 of General conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials at his own lavel and no excavated material be thrown/dumped along road side or in nallah as per the guideline of NGT in specified manner,trimming,filling of unevenness,blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding necessary to complete the work by mechanical means/labour it required and nothing etcetra shall be paid on this account. All useful material such as stone shingles, aggregate and slates etcetra shall be sorted out and stacked in proper stacks. The carriage of excavated earth and nothing shall be paid on this account. The removal of slips during the construction period shall be the responsbility of the contractor and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall compensated by him in all cases.
