| 3 | M & L for Water proofing treatment to sunken slab /floors/walls etc and shall be carried out as specified below and as directed. (a) Cleaning the sunken portion of Toilet/bath/WC/Kitchen throughly to remove the laitance, dirt etc and thrown out side the MD land. (b) Form angle fillet of size 50 mm x 50 mm along the junction of wall and floor using polymer modified mortar, Apply one coat of polymer coating on all angle fillets by brush and cover it with 100 mm open glass fibre/geotextile fibre mesh when it is still wet. (c) Sanitary pipe entering through walls and floor shall be sealed with bitumin based seal tape / epoxy bonding agent and gaps to be grouted with non shrink cementitious grout . Nahani traps etc to be fitted securely and gaps around it to be grouted in the same manner. | 4 | (d) In the remaining area in dry substrate condition brush apply first coat of the acrylic cementitious coating and further apply second coat in perpendicular direcion after 6-8 hours when first coat is dry, and sprinkling quartz sand for shearkey purpose on secon coat in wet condition and allow to dry it completely, Extend the coating up to 1.2 mm above the FFL. Coverage of cementitiou coating to be maintained of min 1.8 kg per sqm for two coats. Make : PIDILITE(Dr fixit fastflex)/ASIAN (ultrablock 2K)/BASF/FOSROCK/SIKA. (e) Sunken portion to be tested for 72 hours for water tightness after only flooring work can be started. Cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate. (f) After 2 to 3 days sunken portion must be overlaid with a 50 mm thick concrete screed 1:3:6 type B0 mixed with integral WPC liquid laid to slope 1:60 towards outer face of wall. Provide 40 mm OD CPVC pipe at the lowest point with 600 mm projection beyond the outer face of the wall, then filled up the sunken portion with lean concrete 1:4:8 type D-2. Note : (i) lean concrete 1:4:8 paid saperatly. Note : (ii) All the material involved in sunken treatment shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate and only floor area will be measured for the payment purpose. | ||
