| 3 | M & L for Waterproofing treatment on roof including flashing and junctions of parapet, kerb, wall etc as under :- (a) Laying a layer of APP based polymeric membrane, 3 mm thick(minimum), weighing not less than 3.60 kg/Sqm prefabricated five layer waterproofing membrane reinforced with polyester non woven fabric (weighing not less than 160 gms/sqm) shall be applied over compatible primer at 0.25 litre/sqm of density at 25 degree centigrade 0.87-0.89 kg/litre and viscosity 70-160cps or cold sticker,application of APP modified membrane shall be by torch application. The overlaps shall be minimum 150mm on the transverse direction and 100mm on the longitudinal direction. (b) APP membrane, Primer and bitumastic aluminium paint and bitumen shall be of same brand. (c) For vertical surfaces of parapet, wall etc APP membrane shall be tucked into groove and sealed with weatherproof silicon sealant" using gun (full width/depth of groove). The contractor shall enter into a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the APP membrane manufacturer, PU based water proofing manufacturer and elastomeric water proofing manufacturer and their authorised applicator before commencement of waterproofing work. The Tripartite MoU shall clearly define the responsibilities of the contractor, manufacturer, and authorised applicator with respect to supply, application, supervision, testing, quality assurance, warranty and rectification of defects. | ||
