| 2 | (a) First stage is to drain out the water by using exit valve by high capacity dewatering systems or any other suitable method approved by Engr-in-Charge. (b) Second stage is cleaning all the algae formation inside the tank by using Terbac G 10/Sodium hypochloride/ Inchlor-5/NB-10, a laboratory tested branded chemical of the company. (c) Third stage is fresh water cleaning by high speed jet pump with pressure 5 PSI in case of RCC tanks and by scrubbing in case of PVC water tanks. (d) Fourth stage and first bacteria screening is Sterilization by using Terbac G5/Tank san/Inchor-5/ NB-10, a Laboratory certified branded halogen compound. (e) Fifth stage is cleaning the floors of the water tank by heavy duty industrial vaccum cleaner. (f) Sixth stage is the second bacteria screening and sterilizing floor of the water tank by using laboratory certified branded strong oxidizing agent TerbacG65/Inoxi-60/NB-69/ Potassium permanganate and allowing it to stay for recommened time for effective sterilization. (g) Seventh stage is Washing tank inside surface thoroughly and drying with heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaner. Sterilizing the tank by using ultra violet ray Ejector covering 360 degree within the tank to kill all suspended bacteria shall be carried out finally in case of RCC tanks. | ||
| 3 | Note:-(i) Test certificate of Terbac G65/Inoxi-60/NB-69/Sodium hypochloride/Tank san/ Potassium permanganate from Government Laboratory mentioning suitability for sterilization should be submitted to the office before using for Sterilization. (ii) Outlet pipe of OHT should be plugged before cleaning the OHT to avoid entering scale and the same shall be reconnected after cleaning the OHT and the quoted rate is deemed to include for this provision. (iii) Contractor will be responsible for rectification of complaints occurring during cleaning of tank i.e. No water in tank/ Over flow due to broken of float valve/blockage of Outlet lines due to silt and rectification cost will be deemed to be included in quoted rate.The rectification must be done on the same day of cleaning. (iv) All cleaning staff must wear safety helmets, gumboots,safety belts when entering the tanks. Safety goggles shall be used while spraying chemicals. (v) Necessary insurance of safety of working labour is responsibility of the contractor | ||
| 4 | Note:- (vi) Water tank location and cleaning date must be mentioned on the tank either by stickering or painting using synthetic enamel paint with lettering not less than 100mm height. (vii) The entire tank/Sump/OHT cleaning work shall be carried through specilized agency (viii) Entire T&P should be arranged by the contractor on his own.Only electric power & water shall be supplied by MES at stipulated rates. (ix) The contractor shall submit in writing the tentative schedule of water tank cleaning before starting the tank cleaning process and same shall be approved by the Engineer-in-charge. (x) The tank cleaning process shall be carried out in presence of an MES representative and a register shall be maintained by the contractor indicating the location of cleaning, date,discrepancies noticed if any pertaining to tank condition like cracks, tank covers, action taken and signature of user. | ||
