| 1 | General Notes:
1) The Tentative/Suggested makes have been specified in the tender document based on requirements of BARC, desired performance, detailed study of the technical parameters, manufacturing process, quality assurance/control & testing. The list is merely for guidance purpose. However, the bidder(s) can prefer any other make(s) which is/are meeting technical specifications given under Section-V, this schedule of Quantities (Schedule 'B') and shall conform to the technical Parameters/performance of the tentative/suggested makes and / or shall conform to the relevant BIS codes or other relevant codes. In case of non-approved makes(s), the bidders(s) shall suggest such equivalent/alternate make/brand, meeting above -mentioned technical parameters, during pre-bid stage and before submission of bid(s).
2) Rates to be quoted by the bidders should be exclusive of GST for all the items but inclusive of all other taxes, duties, CESS, fee, royalty charges etc. levied under any statue for all the items. | | |
| 2 | 3) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone manufactured sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision)
4) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete.
5) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete.
6) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area.
7) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor.

| 3 | 8) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document "General Scope of all works" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items.
9) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer only latest revisions including all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed.
10)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission of relavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC.
11) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost to BARC.
12) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etc for gravel/murrum and for all the other naturally available construction materials along with all RA and final bills failing which payment will not be made to the contrcator.

| 4 | Notes applicable to EARTHWORK EXCAVATION & FILLING WORKS : The rate quoted is deemed to have included the following:
a) Removal and cutting of all kinds of vegetation, shrubs, bushes, stumps , roots, grass, weeds, light/heavy jungle etc., trees upto girth of 30 cm when measured 1 metre above ground level alongwith roots, including disposal/stack in the identified location.
b) shoring, strutting, stepping, dressing, grading required for keeping the earth in position on sides of trenches with approved timber/steel accessories wherever necessary to prevent sides from falling including bailing or pumping out of water if necessary including removal of debris/unserviceable materials and excavated excess soil, if any.
c) dewatering of both ground and surface water, including removal of slurry generated while excavation and keeping the area free from water, to be let out of the building area through proper pipes & channels if required by suitable pumps,
d) watering, ramming and thoroughly consolidate the bottom of all excavations & ground before the construction of foundation/footing/plinth beam, filling in basement or other work is commenced.
e) the loose pockets shall be excavated and compacted after back filling as directed by Engineer-in-charge, as per detailed specification and conforming to safety rules during progress of the work.
f) Contour levels to be taken jointly with the Engineer-in-charge and prior written approval be taken before starting any excavation/ filling at every 3 m grids for arriving at the actual quantity | | |
| 5 | g) Backfilling will be done in layers of thickness as specified below.
h) Cost inclusive of necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges and other charges to supply all the required construction materials,
i) cost of items shall include all labour charges, hire charges of machinery, lubricants, fuels and tests etc.
j) Measurement/Payment will be reststicted to PCC/drawing dimensions only.
k) Clearing & grubbing and removal of top 150 mm soil and compaction of the original ground with vibratory power roller to achieve hard and level surface including the disposal of removed top soil within a lead of 200 m from site boundary.
l) It shall include necessary excavation, backfilling of pits resulting from uprooting of trees and stumps to required compaction, handling, salvaging, and disposal of cleared materials. | | |
