| 1 | Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of silent type Diesel engine driven Generating set of capacity 30 KVA/24 KW, 3 phase, 4 wire, 415 Volts, 50 Hz, at 0.8 pf(lag) comprising of Diesel Engine, Alternator, Standard Control Panel all mounted in a combined acoustic enclosure complete complying with current CPCB IV+ emission norms (as per GSR.436 (E)- MoEF, Govt. of India) and confirming to detailed specifications as given below, complete all as specified and directed :-
A. Diesel Engine : The Diesel Engine shall be suitable for generating set application developing specified BHP at 1500 RPM under NTP conditions of BS:5514 or equivalent in IS, water cooled, turbocharged with after coolers, powered by four (4) strokes, multi cylinder, Nominal Output to match with alternator 30 KVA / 24 KW at 0.8 pf (lagging), with electric start, continuous duty with 10% overload capacity for any one hour in 12 hours of continuous running complying with current CPCB IV+ emission norms (as per GSR.436 (E)- MoEF, Govt. of India) and consisting of following:-
a) Radiator cooled
b) Electrical Starter Motor 12V DC.
c) 1No X 12 V battery having suitable AH rating with connecting leads and terminals
d) Battery Charging Alternator
e) Fuel System with electronic governor
f) Full flow Spin-on lube oil filter
g) Duel fuel filter with water separator
h) Residential type silencer
j) Dry type air cleaner
k) Fly wheel and fly wheel housing

B. Alternator : The Alternator shall be of capacity 30 KVA/ 24KW, 415 Volts, at 0.8 pf(lag), 50 Hz, 3 phase, 4 wire system, suitable for operation at 1500 RPM. The Alternator shall be brushless type, drip proof, screen protected, revolving field, self excited, self regulated through an AVR, copper wound, Class 'H' insulation, having 1.0% voltage regulation in static conditions and continuous duty operation.
C. Mounting Arrangement: Engine and Alternator shall be mounted on a common MS fabricated base frame with Anti Vibration Mounting Pads.
D. Fuel Tank: Integral fuel tank shall be of capacity not less than 100 Liters and provided with drain plug, air vent, inlet and outlet connection, level indicator and provision for cleaning.
E. Standard Control Panel: Control panel shall be made out of CRCA sheet of thickness not less than 1.6mm, powder coated for weather-proof and long lasting finish. The control panel should be consisting of the following parts:
(i) Microprocessor based generator set controller unit with LCD display designed to meet the demands of today s engine driven generator sets
(ii) Aluminium bus bars or Copper flexible cables of suitable rating with incoming/ outgoing terminals complete suitable for testing of DG set at 110% of rated capacity.
(iii) Indicating lamps for Load ON and Set Running
(iv) Control Relays, MCBs and wiring etc as per manufacturers standards.
(v) MCCB of suitable rating as per manufacturers recommendations.
(vi) CT's of suitable rating

F. Acoustic Enclosure: The entire generator, prime mover, fuel tank and DG set control panel should be housed in a sound proof acoustic enclosure made of CRCA sheets with UV resistant powder coated and a structural/sheet metal base frame. The walls of the enclosure should be insulated with high quality noise absorbent and fire-retardant grade acoustic insulation material complying to IS 8183 for better sound attenuation so as to comply with the 75 dBA at 1 meter sound levels at 75% load under free field conditions as specified by MOEF/CPCB. The enclosure should be provided with the following:-
(i) Suitable doors on all sides to enter in to the container for easy maintenance. All doors shall be provided with locks and handles for opening/ closing of doors.
(ii) Suitable internal lighting to carry out easy inspection and maintenance.
(iii) Air Inlet louvers designed to operate at rated load.
(iv) Fluid drains for lube oil and fuel.
(v) Fuel filling point with locking arrangement.
(vi) Push button for emergency stop

| 4 | Notes for Item No. 1.00:-
(i) Quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive of provision of suitable extension pipe along with asbestos rope wrapping for extending the exhaust pipe from DG set to outside the DG room complete as per site requirement and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
(ii) PCC foundation for DG set as required at site shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of Schedule 'A'.
(iii) On successful installation, the DG set shall be subjected to load test as specified below :-
Phase-I : No-load test for 01 hour in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge.
Phase-II : Load test for 12 hours continuously (at 25% of full load for fist one hour, 50% of full load for second one hour, 75% of full load for third one hour, 100% load for next 08 hours and 110% of full load for last one hour) in the presence of testing officer nominated by accepting officer.
(iv) Resistive type load bank, Fuel (HSD Oil), testing instruments and technician as required for both no-load and load testing shall be arranged by the contractor and cost of the same shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Nothing extra shall be paid on this account. | | |
